Finding Wireless Webcam Mac

William asks…
Wireless webcam? Mac compatible?
Well, the question pretty much explains it. I need a cheap wireless webcam that’s Mac compatible. A camera with a window to view. I don’t need a very large viewing size, just something that works.

Matt Matty answers:
Actually, there’s really quite a bit to choose from. A good site to visit is attached. While this page talks about building a Mac based security system, the web cams reviewed fall into all the categories you asked about. Best luck in your quest.

Finding Wireless Webcam Review

Ruth asks…
Who makes a GOOD wireless webcam that i can ALSO use for watching the house while at work?
I have WIN7, 4g ram, core 2 duo 3.94
A few options would be nice and i can do reviews on amazon or something, unless somsone can HIGHLY recommend one.

Finding Mac Based Remote Desktop Software

Susan asks…
How do I set up VNC on my Mac to connect to my Windoze machine?
It seems as though at some point I got VNC to work to connect from my Windoze machine to a Linux box running ubuntu, but I don’t remember how exactly I did it and this is really a different question since I want to connect from a Mac to a Windoze machine. I’ve already read http://www.redstonesoftware.com/products/vine/server/vineosx/index.html
and looked at Dameware software (which it seems is just Windoze based). I can use Remote Desktop from my girlfriends house, but it doesn’t seem to work from campus (UNC). I can connect to machines on campus though. I connect to a Vista box at work from my XP box at home. My terminal skills are very newb, so I would need a very complete explanation. THANKS!
port 5900 is and was open.
Ok, I had the router port open, but not the port on the Windoze Firewall. All is well now…assuming it works off network too….which is what started all of this anyway since Remote Desktop worked internally. THIS IS RESOLVED!

Matt Matty answers:
You have to open the port on the router
